Biography
Dr. Pravin Jadhav is Associate Professor of Economics and Head, Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at the Institute of Infrastructure, Technology, Research and Management (IITRAM), an autonomous university of the Government of Gujarat.
He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics from the University of Pune (2007) and a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi (2015), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry. At IIFT (2008–2012) he researched for the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, the Ministry of Science & Technology and the European Union, and contributed to the Planning Commission’s Working Sub-Group on Technology Intensity in India’s Manufacturing Exports for the 12th Five-Year Plan.
From 2012 to 2016 he was Assistant Professor and Programme Coordinator at UPES, Dehradun, where he was recognised as Best Performer. Since 2016 he has been at IITRAM, where he now heads the Department of Humanities & Social Sciences. His work spans international business, business economics, agriculture and infrastructure planning — published with Springer, Routledge, Elsevier, Emerald and Wiley and cited more than 1,800 times.
He mentors start-ups through i-Hub Gujarat and the Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP 1.0 and 2.0), advises Agroson Alliance LLP and the NABARD-assisted SDAU Rural Business Incubation Centre, and has held ICSSR and ICWA research grants.
